Bride of Christ Devotional, 21st July, 2023
John 2:7-8 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. [KJV]

THE WEDDING FEAST in Cana was one of the ceremonies that Jesus attended with his disciples on the invitation. When they came a need arose for wine and Mary of Jesus was used as a liaison person to speak to his son on their behalf. She did and enjoined the organizers to be obedient to whatever He tells them. When Jesus was told he spoke to them to fill the water pots with water and then give it to the master of ceremony. They did and the wine that was produced was much better than the first.
This tells us that we are always closer to the things that make for our miracles. The need was there and Jesus used what was available to change the situation. This tells us that when we obey Jesus He can use what is available and is around us for a miracle. This is a biblical pattern.
When there was no food, he used a few loaves and fish and a miracle happened. When wine ran out water was used. The oil that was available to the Shunammite woman was multiplied. There are times He uses his words, spittle, and mud to do the needful.
What is available to you? What do you have? Use it as the Lord commands and your miracle sure. We only need discernment to know them. Remember whatever Jesus does is the best.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to be discerning to see the things that will work wonders in my life in Jesus’ name
