The demand of satan

Text: Luke 22:31-32 (GW) 31 {Then the Lord said,} “Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has demanded to have you apostles for himself. He wants to separate you from me as a farmer separates wheat from husks. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. So when you recover, strengthen the other disciples.”

Message:

Satan can intentionally go after our family members to separate them from one another and from God. When this is not contested, it may lead to the ruin of the family or the life of the person concerned.

In fact, that your spouse and family members are saved does not stop devil for negotiating for their destiny.

In the scripture above, satan demanded to have the disciples for himself and separate them from Christ! What a demand? Jesus did not stop satan from making his demand but prayed for them to be able to have victory over satan. Satan is still doing the same today.

Jesus taught His disciples, modelled for them, yet He prayed for them, if you do not intentionally contend with satan concerning your family members, you may lose them.

Prayer: Oh God, give me the grace for prayer and supplication to consistently be contending for the destiny of my family members in Jesus name.
