THE BABIES

The Excellent home

Theme: The babies

Text: Heb 5:13 (NKJV) For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.

Message:

It is good and joyful to have a baby, but it is disastrous to be led by a baby.

Babies can’t take initiative, they are inexperienced, they cry over every matter, they can’t take care of themselves, they can’t take care of others, they don’t take responsibilities, they want comfort every time, babies are selfish, babies don’t care about others, they don’t think about or know the effects of their actions, etc Though it is joyful to have babies, it is very exhaustive to keep them (ask nursing mothers).

In the scriptures above, some that ought to be teachers still need someone to teach them the basics of Christianity (they do not grow, they are immature). You can only grow through the reading of the Word of God, praying, fellowshipping and sharing your faith. You can be aged physically but a baby spiritually.

Brother, and sister, you ought to be a mature marriage counsellor now, but they are still instructing you on basic instructions in marriage and the need to run your home according to the Word of God. Worse still, unbelievers are the ones counselling you to take it easy and learn from them.

My brother, my sister, grow spiritually…. That is one of the ways to have an excellent home. Growth is a personal responsibility. If you are a baby, you will stress your spouse. Can you imagine when two babies marry?

Prayer: Dear heavenly father, please forgive me for my babyish behaviours, and cancel their consequences. Help me to take personal responsibility for my spiritual growth.
