Titus 1:1 ………..according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, (NKJV)

PAUL THE APOSTLE in his opening statement in this epistle of Titus outlined the product of the acknowledgement of truth. He said that the truth that is acknowledged will lead to godliness. The means of transforming the lives of believers is living according to the truth of God’s word. When you receive the truth what it should produce should always be godliness.
The truth shows us what is right. There is no alternative to the truth. How do we know that an individual who claims to be a child of God is living according to the truth? It is simple. The life of that individual will always produce godliness. Godly character is the product of living according to the truth. This is what the truth of the gospel should produce in our lives as Christians.
If godliness is missing in your life go back and check whether you are living according to God’s word. It’s God’s word that will cleanse, shape and make your life godly. So your response to the truth today must be one of submission and obedience if you want to live a life that pleases God. Remember acknowledging the truth is not only by confession but a change of life and character that leads to godliness.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to acknowledge your truth today and let it produce godliness in my life in Jesus name.
