SURVIVING AN AILING ECONOMY

TEXT:Ephesians 4:28 (NCV) Those who are stealing must stop stealing and start working. They should earn an honest living for themselves. Then they will have something to share with those who are poor.

PREACH
Ailing economy is not a death sentence to a Christian who is prudence in financial matters, engaged in honest and profitable business and who truly believes in the power, protection, provision, promotion and providence of God.
Key words in the economic world today are ‘depression’, ‘recession’, ‘devaluation’, ‘inflation’. Experts flatly contradict each other both as to the causes and the cure of the present uncertainty. Scripture foretells that the existing economic and commercial systems are heading for total collapse.
The period of economic recession, depression or devaluation in any country is always a moment of difficulty for all. As a of fact matter the present economic situation has caused many people to focus their attention on their problems rather than on the Lord Jesus Christ and therefore make them to seek for alternative solutions to their problems abandoning the will and way of God. As Christians in this time of untold global hardships and economic meltdowns we should trust in God for survival. We should make use of the windows of opportunities that God has provided for us in ensuring our survival by embarking on honest and profitable ventures.

PRAYER
O Lord my God my trust is in You. Help me to be financially prudent. Guide me to embark on honest and profitable living.

Beloved, stand up and start something honest and profitable!

PRACTICAL
Make it practical this week by embarking on honest and profitable work.
