WALKING IN THE SPIRIT is a reality of life that is predicated on warfare. This is so because there is an adversary, the devil who is looking for someone to destroy. Peter gave this fact to the believers and enjoined them to be sober and vigilant. He also gave them instructions on how to deal with this ferocious enemy. We should resist him by being steadfast in faith.
Satan uses schemes and devices to keep the people of God in bondage. We must be willing to resist Satan by being steadfast in faith. When the devil cause you to doubt your present reality in Christ you must use God’s word to defeat him. Remember he is the accuser of the brethren. If the accusation is really what you have done then repent and remind him that the Lord has cleansed and forgiven you. There are times he comes with lies, remember he is the father of lies. In cases like this you use the word of God which is the truth to dispel and cancel the lies of the enemy.
Have you been disturbed and discouraged by the accusations of Satan? If it is by the the mistakes or sins that you have committed, repent and remind him that the blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin. If it is an accusation to diminish your faith, then use the scriptures and remind him of his ultimate end and the victory you have in Christ. Do all this by faith and you will be victorious.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to resist Satan by faith. Give me grace to remain steadfast in faith and to overcome the lies of the enemy in Jesus name.
