EXPERIENCES comes from the accumulation of knowledge and skills that results from your participation in events or activities. Everyone one of us have had different experiences in our lives before and after becoming born again. Our text outlines David’s cry to God as he repented of his murder of Uriah and adultery with Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife. His cry was Lord restore me and after that I will teach those who are sinning in the same way to come to you.
There are some things that if you do not have a practical experience of you will not be able to help others out of it. We all can teach the scriptures but there are times the potency with which someone who had had a practical experience will do it will be different. Experience itself is a great teacher and it profits when we use it in the right way.
Someone who have experience prostitution, rejection and failures; when they got converted will be more powerful in witnessing to others. That’s why when you see Peter writing in the epistles to believers in the midst of suffering and he was more tender because he knows what it means to fail during suffering and temptation. Whatever your experience has been, whether good or bad, ask God for restoration. When it is granted you can use it to teach others to come out of sin with the instrumentality of God’s word.
PRAYER: O LORD restore me to yourself and use my experiences as a tool to draw others to you in Jesus name.
