Matthew 15:24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (NKJV)

A SYROPHOENICIAN WOMAN had a genuine need for the deliverance of her daughter. She came to Jesus Christ with a desperate desire to seek help. The response of Jesus might look inconsiderate because for a while He said nothing but more so He added that as at that time the boundary of His ministry has not got that far. He knew the scope of His assignment and was strict with Himself to maintain the boundaries of His ordination.
Our ordination is what God has called us to do and His assignment for our lives. Many a times because of the current trends and what is reigning and the desire for significance many has veered off from the path God cut out for them. When we look at Jesus here we might think He was too hard and harsh but it was not so. He was only maintaining the boundary of His ordination.
Her desperation did not make Jesus yield. He knew that at that moment He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel. He knew where God has sent Him. Don’t allow people to push you out of the boundary of your ordination. Have you veered off? Are you on the verge of moving away from what God told you? Come back! There is sufficient grace to keep you.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to stay within that which you have called me to do in Jesus name.
