Bride of Christ devotional.
Text: Hebrews 2:11 (NKJV) For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Message:
When people exhibit bad behaviour, good people (no matter who they are) are mostly ashamed to associate with them.
In the scripture above, there is a group of people whom Jesus is not ashamed to call brethren (brother/sister). He can relate and associate with them freely. They are sanctified! Are you sanctified? Are you free from the controlling power of sin, satan, and the flesh? Are you free from all kinds of selfish and self-centered behaviour?
Jesus is the sanctifier! Let Him sanctify you. Beyond salvation, you need the second touch, sanctification. Saved souls without the genuine experience of sanctification are characterized by selfishness, unhealthy criticism, internal struggle with sin and the old man, ineffectiveness in serving the Lord, inconsiderate of others, inconsistency in consecration, etc. Are you sanctified?
Prayer: Dear heavenly father, I need your second touch, break the controlling power of sin, self, and satan over me in Jesus’ name. Sanctify my spirit, soul, and body.
