Text: Eph 5:23 (NKJV) For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
Message:
The failure of some men to recognize that being the head of their wife is a great responsibility rather than superiority gave birth to feminism, women’s advocacy, 50-50, etc. I pray that your failure as a husband will not cause people to rebel against God’s instructions in Jesus’ name.
As a correct head, you ought to give divine direction to your wife before she runs into the dish, eat the Word of God and use it to nurture her to be robust spiritually, run and carry her away from dangers, see troubles before she ran into it, hear the noise of dangers before she is crushed, hear divine instructions from God and pass it on to her, taste the Word of God (she heard, watched, read, ) before she swallow false teachings, smell acidic gas of wordliness and temptation before she inhales it.
Brother, instead of taking your responsibility seriously, you are just shouting “don’t you know that I am the head all around. I hope you have not failed God. Are you truly fulfilling the calling of being her saviour…?
Bro, wake up, your appointment as a husband is a call to responsibility and not lordship and oppression. It does not make you superior to your wife. If you and your wife had competed for a husband position, maybe your wife would have beaten you hands down. Please, don’t disappoint God who graciously appointed you as a husband.
Prayer: Dear heavenly father, please help our husbands to be correct heads and responsible husbands in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Rid them of the arrogance that some of them are exhibiting because you graciously appointed them as the head.
