1 Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, (NKJV)

THE PAULINE epistles are full of gratitude to God from Paul the writer for the churches, individuals to whom he writes and even for himself. Our text today is one of the expressions of thanksgiving to God by Paul as he writes to Timothy his son in the faith. He was grateful to God for enabling him because he counted him worthy by entrusting ministry into his hands.
When we say enable it means to make something possible, practical and easy. It is a form of training that provides the means or gives an opportunity to carry out a specific task. The ministry work that Paul accomplished was through the enabling power of Christ in him.
Enablement provides power to make things happen, to operate in and gives you capacity and legal authority to do things. This means that with proper enablement or requisite support you can accomplish much. No wonder the ministry of Paul was mighty. If you are going to be enabled you need to be conscious of your own inadequacies and cry for the sufficiency that Christ alone supplies. The enabling power of the Holy Spirit is indispensable and must be sought in all its ramifications. When you are enabled exploits and excellence becomes a normal thing. Ask for it and Jesus as He did for Paul will do it also for you.
*PRAYER:* O LORD enable me to accomplish your purpose. Supply all the gifts and graces I need to finish well in Jesus name.
