Isaiah 37:20 Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD, You alone.” (NKJV)

OUR text today is part of Hezekiah’s prayer for intervention against the threat of Sennacherib. He cried unto God for the deliverance of Israel and the basis of his intercession was that all the earth may know that the Lord (Elohim) is the only God. He prayed that God would arise and defend His name and that His glory will be seen by all again. This was what provoked the intervention of the Lord and Israel was delivered.
When the focus of our request is to see the Lord glorified and His name exalted, His intervention in our cases are almost immediate. When Elijah prayed on Mount Carmel that fire should fall and that God will be glorified the answer came instantly. When Solomon was bent on seeing God glorified in his life and kingdom, God gave him more than he requested. And now Hezekiah when the direction of his request was to see God glorified God intervention was immediate.
Do you want God to respond to your prayers immediately? Let the focus of your request be for His glory and for the exaltation of His name and the expansion of His kingdom.
PRAYER: O LORD let my prayers and intercessions be for the glory of your name and for the expansion of your kingdom so that they will be answered quickly in Jesus name.
