Hebrews 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. (KJV)

HEBREWS 6 opens with a call to move to higher realms of spiritual maturity. It went on to state that there is a possibility of falling away from the faith (this should attract the attention and caution those that champion the course of eternal security (6:4-6)). He speaks about backsliding and that it is possible for one to fall away from the faith. But now he admonished the brethren that there is something that is positive that they have in mind for them. That they will be consistent in faith unto the saving of their souls.
This is the persuasion that we must have in mind for every brother and sister. The persuasion that we will not fall away from the truth of the word of God. Repentance and restoration is good. But it is better to be consistent in obedience righteousness and holiness as we walk with Christ. Divine healing is great but divine health is even better because you will be preserved from sickness of any sort.
A positive persuasion is the one that we have of the brethren that they will not fall away but continue unto the end. This will result in the saving of their souls. Let us be persuaded of better things for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to have a positive persuasion that will lead to my ultimate salvation in Jesus name.
