Hebrews 13:5-6………. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (NKJV)

CONFESSION of the promises of God by the believer is a powerful tool. It brings edification, encouragement and comfort to the believer and those that are around him. Our text outlines the commitment of God to His people of his abiding presence. Because of what God has said the believer has the boldness now to say that the Lord is his helper. Because of God’s presence he has an assurance that God is with him. The basis of his confession is God’s word and promises.
As believers our confession should be determined by the word of God and not the situation or circumstance around us. There are moments that the existing circumstances around us will be contrary to what the word says but we are enjoined to speak what God has said.
Our confession should always be predicated on the word of God. Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,……. We are the redeemed of the Lord and we are saddled with the responsibility to say what God has said. What has been the ingredients of your own confessions? Let it be according to God’s word and it will change your life.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to always say and confess the reality of your word in our lives in Jesus name.
