Job 1:10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. (NKJV)

GOD ALMIGHTY boasted of the uprightness of his servant Job to Satan. Job was a man of integrity and fears God and despised evil in the whole territory of the east. When God engaged Satan on this, he outlined all the reasons why he (Satan) thought Job had been so consistent in obedience. How did he know? He has been taking inventory of his life. It reveals that before this time Satan had made attempts but because of the infrastructure around Job’s life he was unable to penetrate.
The enemy, Satan was bold in outlining to God the things that He has done for Job, His servant. There was protection and prosperity in his life. He mentioned the hedge that was built around him and how God has blessed the work of his hands. There was also productivity and prosperity in Job’s business. God blessed the work of his hands and his substance increased.
This was a detailed report from Satan. He recognized that everything that Job had now was as a result of divine enablement and backing. What report can Satan give about you if God were to bring your issue up? The demons knew Paul and Jesus Christ but the sons of Sceva were not known for righteousness so they suffered for it. Be mindful of your life because Satan is taking inventory too and when he finds you compromising, that will be a basis for his attack. Remain faithful to God, be a man of integrity and God will preserve you like he did for Job.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to be faithful and true to you so that when the enemy comes to take inventory I will not be found wanting in Jesus name.
