GOD IS OMNIPRESENT. His presence is everywhere at the same time. Jesus Christ is God but when he was on earth he had to set aside this attribute because of he was human. He moved from one place to the other on earth doing his father’s work. Our text shows the response of the woman with the issue of blood to the presence of Jesus around her. This woman had suffered a lot from this sickness for 12 years. She lost money in order to get well but her situation grew worse. When she heard that Jesus was around, she came with faith and determination and she was made whole.
Her response to the presence of Jesus Christ in her territory created the difference. Possibly others were around with challenges but they probably left untouched. But she was resolute to obtain help from Jesus. Because of familiarity, many today has taken the presence of God for granted. Even though He is amongst them there is no reflection of that in their circumstances. This is because of the way we respond to Him.
How do you respond to Jesus? Do you take His presence for granted? When you become indifferent to His presence, the blessings you are supposed to receive you will not get them. Respond with faith and urgency today to His presence and you will profit from it.
PRAYER: O LORD give me grace to be sensitive to your presence and to respond in faith in Jesus name.
