Bride of Christ Devotional, 5th October, 2023
Judges 6:14 And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? (KJV)

ISRAEL was under oppression of the Midianites and God wanted to deliver them so he called Gideon to accomplish this purpose. Gideon was shocked and surprised when he looked at all that they have gone through. He doubted himself and the ability that he had. When the word of the Lord came to Gideon through the angel, he said, go in this thy might and deliver Israel. The ability to deliver the nation was in him but fear kept it down. Gideon was not seeing that possibility at all.
The power to rescue a whole nation was trapped in his vessel but the existing circumstances made him think otherwise. He was engulfed with fear and even hiding from the Midianites. His might was overshadowed. Anxiety and fear can serve as a limitation to your advancement.
Brother, sister, there is might within you. You have what it takes to succeed and realize your God given destiny. Gideon did not receive any special impartation; just the spoken word and the might that God had given him made him appropriate the victory.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to maximize the might that you have given me in Jesus name.
