Luke 14:23 Then the master said to the servant, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. (NKJV)

JESUS CHRIST our Lord and Saviour in His bid to communicate certain truths to his disciples and people who came to listen to him used parables. Our text comes from one of such parables were a certain man made a banquet and invited many people. Several people were invited but they gave excuses. Then the master gave a command to his servants to compel men to come in so that his house will be filled.
God’s desire is that men be brought into the kingdom of God. How then do we compel men to come into the kingdom? Remember we will not use carnal weapons. We compel men to come in by the instrument of power evangelism. Psalms 66:3 says that it is through the greatness of thy power that men will submit themselves to you. If we are going to compel men to come in we need the power of the Holy Spirit.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will be able to accomplish more and even those who are stubborn hearted will be compelled to come into the kingdom. The purpose is to make sure saved men fill the house of the Lord. May God empower us.
PRAYER: O LORD empower me with your Holy Spirit so that I will compel men to come into your kingdom in Jesus name.
