Ezra 6:14 So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. (NKJV)

THE BOOK OF EZRA gives a detailed account of the restoration of the captives back to Jerusalem and the project of the rebuilding of the temple after the captivity. The work was prophesied and then the work started but our text gives the secret of that great project, the declaration of the prophetic word. The elders built and prospered but that prosperity of the work was predicated on their yielding to the prophetic word that went forth.
When God wants to perform things on earth He speaks through His men. His word is as good as done. He speaks also by Himself in order to establish His purposes on earth. The utterance of the prophetic word is important for the prosperity and accomplishment of what the Lord has called you to do. The elders build and the prophetic word was the channel for the projects prosperity.
What has the Lord said to you through His word or His servants? That word can become a springboard to the prosperity of that thing that God has placed in your hands. Don’t neglect the word. It can come by revelation as you study or as you listen to sound doctrine. When you receive the word be obedient and it will work in your life for your good.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to receive your word by revelation that will enable me to fulfill your purpose for my life in Jesus name.
