PLANNING is formulating a course of action or program in order to achieve or accomplish an intended goal. There is no way we can make significant impact without being involved in constructive planning. Our text today outlines a key factor in every plan we have as believers. When we remember that life on earth is transient, we should always be mindful of what we do. In formulating our goals and plans we always take into consideration the will of God. It as the Lord wills that we will be able to accomplish our plans.
Many a times we plan based on our strength and our personal assessment of the existing circumstances and available resources. These are good considerations but it lacks the input of divinity in it. So as believers in our planning and programs we must make sure that God’s will supercedes all that we do. Our planning should flow from it. We must know what God wants us to do and then bring our plans in alignment with it.
When we do so the benefits are numerous as it will make us successful and we will be free from stress or pressure. There is always also an assurance of His abiding presence when we plan in line with His will.
PRAYER: O LORD help me to plan always in alignment with your perfect will in Jesus name.
