That which is destroying others

Bride of Christ Devotional

Theme: That which is destroying others

Text: 2 Kg 19:19-20  19 Now therefore, O Lord our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord God, You alone.” 20 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.’

Message:

Sennacherib was a strong King with testimonies of winning wars, dethroning Kings, and destroying nations. His opposition can seldom resist him talking less of winning him.

There are times when we face difficulties that are stronger than us, and we know people who had been defeated by such troubles and challenges. As a result of this, we are overwhelmed, some wait for the worst to happen, some weep like a baby, others may choose to seek solutions from satan and his cohorts, while others are looking for men to help them.

In the scripture above, the King of Judah just poured his heart into God. He told God about his weaknesses and about the strength and prowess of the enemy, and God intervened, and defeated the strong enemy on his behalf.

Beloved, instead of being perplexed about the challenges around you, pour out your heart to God. May the Almighty God give your overwhelming victory in Jesus’ name.

Prayer:

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your love for me and for your unconquerable power. Take over the battles of my life. Do not allow what is destroying others to destroy me. Do not allow the enemy to last the last chapter of my life and marriage in Jesus’ name.
