1 Samuel 1:10 Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the LORD. (NLT)

BITTERNESS and anguish of soul is a state of deep emotional trouble. In this state many lose hope and a few give in to suicide. This is so because their souls have hit the lowest ebb. It was in this state that Hannah prayed. Instead of giving up and turning to dangerous exits she turned to God in prayer. She was childless and her mate was even a mother of many. That affected her soul and emotions but instead of sulking and lossing hope, she prayed.
Prayer is one of the potent means by which we present our requests to God. It gives us an opportunity of giving God an accurate expression of our fears, feelings and frustrations. Through prayer you can unleash your burden to the one who cares and who cannot use your weakness or wrongdoing to scandal you.
Hannah went to God when it seemed there was no hope. Instead of grumbling or complaining to men that will even use it to vilify her, she went to God. Are you in despair? Pray! Are you discouraged and downcast about the events happening around your life? Pray! Are you being despised by men and brethren who think you are a nuisance now to them? Don’t hit back, pray! Prayer will change you and the circumstances around you.
*PRAYER:* O LORD in despair, discouragement and danger help me to continue in prayer in Jesus name.
