Our Programs/Activities

Bible Studies

This is a weekly digging deep into the Bible; it caters for the spiritual growth of members and any willing person. It is geared towards strengthening and accelerating the growth and development of participants. Bible Studies is held weekly in Freetown, Makeni, Kono and Kenema.

National Youth Conference

The conference is necessary to penetrate a larger community of youths as well as creating an opportunity to bring the youths together for a longer and continuous period in the presence of God. We believe God to make this a life transforming program in the life of the youths and others.

ZEM Leadership Retreat

The retreat is meant for emerging leaders. This is the quarry house where youths and young adults are being molded to becoming battle axe and weapons in the hands of the Almighty God. It is a tailor-made program to help youth leaders of various churches, organizations, and schools.

ZEM Campus Fellowship

Having considered the students, lecturers, and college staff’s privileged position in the schools, colleges, universities, polytechnics, etc. and the lives of students (the emerging leaders), we strongly believe that the future of a nation lies majorly with the students, lecturers, and college staff.

Life Training Academy

In the face of scarcity of seasoned, sincere, and serious-minded Christian workers/teachers, we were led to commence this unit of the ministry, which is completely dedicated to training Youth Leaders/teachers who will be able to pass on the whole truth lovingly.

Singles of Purpose(SOP)

The programmes presents “Singles of Purpose” and “Young Couples Seminar”. A successful Christian home is rare in our generation, yet every person is a product of a home. To prepare a solid Christian foundation for the youths, ZEM will run programs with a primary focus on marriage. Our primary targets are youths of marriageable age and young married couples. We believe that God will use it to build godly marriages and homes. TEF promotes strong marriages and Christ-centred family.

VICTORY BIBLE CLUB

Most youths will not go to church functions but they mostly go to schools, hence VBC is developed specifically for the secondary school students to win them to Christ as well as to help them grow into mature Christians. It is the evangelistic arm of the ministry to the students, wherein a member of the Ministry addresses students on their spiritual life/character and studies on their school assembly. This has continued in about 34 schools in Freetown, Kono, Kenema and Makeni.

CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS

We have a large number of unchurched people, of every status, race, gender, and nationality; yet they must be given the opportunity to hear the whole and undiluted truth that is able to transform their lives. We equally have a large group of churched but who are underfed, these people equally need our attention. We offer a weekly (every Sunday) message through the social media to reach out to them. The frequency and visibility will be extended soonest.

RADIO MINISTRY

ZEM is actively involved in distributing Christian literatures and tracts across the country. Many ministries, Churches, and individuals are benefiting from this aspect of our ministry. We do this in partnership with ministries of like-minded values and passion. In 2019-2021, we distributed over 1,000,000 Christian literatures – Bibles, Christian books, literatures and booklets free of charge.

THE EXCELLENT FAMILY (TEF)

Excellent home is one of our priorities, and every young people requires adequate preparation to have an excellent home. In preparation this, SOP will teach and train the singles the unfailing principles of a godly home and how to be a ready candidate for an excellent home. They will also be taught on how to make a productive use of their single’s period.

MONTHLY BOOK REVIEW

Considering the 3 E’s of the ministry (excellent Christian life, excellent career and excellent family), we normally have book review on the last Sunday of every month. We select books from the Bible and sound Christian literature from which we can learn lessons that will help us to grow and become like Jesus Christ. In this session all categories of people, youths and adults alike are invited to learn from the word of God which will challenge them to grow spiritually and mentally. Biblical insights to living are shared, encourage people to grow spiritually, stimulate their appetite to read in order to challenge participants to grow and to become like Christ.

WORKPLACE SUMMIT

One of the banes of our world is that the work place is laden with men and women who lack integrity; even when they have integrity, they lack competence. As a result of this, productivity is low and resources are wasted and many of our countries remain in poverty. It takes both character and capability to make good and productive use of our limited resources. The Workplace Summit is wholly dedicated to raising people of integrity and skills through teaching, training, modeling, and intentional mentoring.

MISSION AND OUTREACHES

Christian missions are about obeying Christ, sharing Christ, and relying on Christ. Specifically, God sends missionaries through the support of the Church to the unreached. All Christians, however, have the mission of reconciliation. The Lord works through them to rescue the lost. All missions include the idea of leaving the comfort of the fellowship of other believers to engage with those who do not know Christ.
Mission is not just about geographical location but of people groups: People groups may constitute a nation which may have people group (tribes, families, clans) within geographical border. They have certain things in common: customs, culture, practices, heritage, age, education, peculiarities, challenges, language/dialect, physical characteristics eg skin colour, etc. We therefore train and encourage people to influence the different people groups within which they find themselves, as well as external ones

COUNSELING

The troubles and stress in the world has attained an unimaginable magnitude. We make decisions every day without assurance of whether the decisions are right or wrong. Right decision will lead to right action, and right results, and vice versa. Proverbs 11:14 (NKJV) 14 Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. Our counsellors are trained, matured, Spirit-controlled, and godly. They employ Biblical based and Spirit controlled methods to guide people to making informed decisions, and to achieve mental and emotional health. They do not view people as simply spiritual beings with spiritual problems, rather sees the individual as a physical, emotional, cognitive, and relational being. Our overall focus is to help counselees develop a biblical synopsis of their life and recognize the core truth that guides right thinking and actions.

NIGHT OF HYMNS

Man’s ultimate priority should be to worship the Almighty God who created us, knows everything about us – where you are and your final destination-, and to whom we will all return to. He does fearful things in praise… It is any way of expressing our love for God and desire to connect with Him. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God (Colossians 3:16). Night of Hymns is yearly event dedicated to mobilizing people to worship God in truth and in the Spirit. Our choirs, under the leadership of the Spirit, sings worships songs and hymns and move people in that direction. This event will definitely extend beyond location based to using online facilities. Our God must be worshipped.

MISSIONS, OUTREACHES, & CONFERENCES

As a ministry we believe that reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ is the responsibility of every Christian. As a matter of priority, we engage in missions and outreaches. We also work with Pastors & Church leaders and equip them to fulfill their ministry and finish well; we train pastors’ wives and women leaders on how to be good supporters for their husbands and to build a godly home, while the youths are groomed to fear God and position themselves to be potent weapons in the hand of God. For the past seventeen years, ZEM has been working and running conferences for Pastors, Church leaders, and youths in Freetown, Kono, Bo, Makeni, Waterloo, Bonthe, Rotifunk, Moyamba, Kailahun, Kambia, Magburaka, Rutile and Lunsar with proven testimonies. Students’ seminars or conferences have also been held in some of these places.

CHRISTIAN LITERATURE

ZEM is actively involved in distributing Christian literatures and tracts across the country. Many ministries, Churches, and individuals are benefiting from this aspect of our ministry. We do this in partnership with organizations with sound doctrines. Over the years we distributed over 1 million Christian literatures – Bibles, Christian books, literatures, tracts, and booklets free of charge. ZEM is open to partnership with organizations with Biblical based literatures

PEAK PERFORMANCE (P+P)

This aspect is geared towards leadership and capacity building. Christianity is not synonymous with mediocrity, if youths of today will take over the leadership in this nation and Africa, they must be prepared for such via success strategies and leadership skills. This unit cares for career and vocational development and leadership training among youths.

CAREER CONFERENCE

ZEM believes that the growth and development of nations lies in the hands of it young people who are presently going to schools and colleges today. These young people if not guided properly, will grow into irresponsible adults with a bleak future that cannot support the development of the country in the near future. This situation can be prevented now by shaping the future career path of these young people today to become responsible leaders of today and tomorrow. As a ministry we are committed to assist young people to discover their God-given gifts and channel same towards accomplishment of God’s purpose for their lives

PASTORS & CHURCH LEADERS’ SUMMITS

The Pastors and Church Leaders summits are organized across the country to strengthen the pastors for effectiveness in life and ministry. They must be trained and moulded before they can help others! The pastors and churches are targeted so that they can affect their families and congregations. Special provision is often made for Pastor’s Wives; they must be equipped in order to help their husbands in life, family, and ministry. The summits are available face to face and virtual
